Steely Dan -- Pretzel Logic

This is the third album from the highly jazz influenced band Steely Dan. This album has two songs in which you may have already heard from radio play, "Rikki Don't Lose That Number" and "Barrytown". I ended up pikcing up this cd because of my good friend Pat's incredible love for this band. I can definatly see the love that this band has to give. This is a very jazzy and also rockin cd. They also have a really good cover of a Duke Ellington song called "East St Louis Toodle-oo". Probably the best song i'd say is the incredbly funky "Parker's Band". There isn't a single song on this cd I don't like, this is a really well made cd.

If you like jazzy rock, or are trying to get into some 70s rock, this would be a good cd to pick up. Very good. 4 out of 4 stars.

Hey man, thanks for the shout out. Indeed, Pretzel Logic is probably Steely Dan's second or third or fourth, maybe fifth greatest album. All are second to Countdown to Ecstasy, but this one certainly contains no un-good tracks. Glad that I've inspired a look into possibly the most talented and diverse rock group possibly ever.
