TV On The Radio -- Desperate Youth, Blood Thirsty Babes

In Honor of this brilliant band's new cd coming out in a couple of days, I'm going to debut the band's first album. TV on the Radio is a very very interesting group. They're desciribed as a steady blend of Free Jazz, Psychedelia, Trip-Hop and Electronic mixed into one ball. Or to make it one small catergorization, an avant-garde indie rock vocal band. This is one reason why I find the band to be so interesting, that they're so different that people can't find one way to classify them. I have completely fallen in love with this cd and find every song on the track to be just as good as the one before it. They're able to hit you with catchy beats to really good words that make you think, it's an interesting blend that is all it's own. With the new cd coming out, apparently David Bowie who became a big fan of the band, is guest vocalizing on one of the tracks for the new cd entitiled "Return To Cookie Mountain".

If you like things experemental give this guys a listen, it won't be anything you've heard before I can gaurantee it. 4 out of 4 stars.

As a side note, they have a completely free song HERE. It's a pretty good song, and it's gives you a small taste of what TV on the Radio sound like.
